With pokemon X & Y there are now 718 pokemon and for players who skipped a generation or just players in general, a pokedex definitely would have been a worthwhile inclusion. The first major disappointment was that there was no pokedex. The book came shrink wrapped with some little extras inside so I never got to page through it before I bought it. This wasn't a bad strategy guide, but for a game with so much new content in comparison to its predecessors, it did leave a lot to be desired.
